I believe they didn’t fix all those bearing issues until the 997.2, which was in 2008 or 2009 model year?
Though still not as likely as the 1999 996 and Boxsters.

I can’t wait until the 911 market cools off and 997's become truly affordable. I mean the cheapest 996's rarely go 4 figures.

If it’s at 89k miles, it’s been driven a reasonable amount per year (7k miles), so it’s probably been maintained in good driveable shape.
